There’s an entire industry around helping people repair their credit. And the messaging they use, no matter how positive on the surface, is framed around the idea that you’re a bad person and they’re going to tell you how to be a better person.
It can happen to anyone
Some of our customers might’ve made some bad decisions that hurt their credit. But many times, the incidents on their credit reports stem from things outside of their control, like a spouse or partner racking up debt without their knowledge using a joint account, or one of the predatory credit card application booths around college campuses tricking them into applying without knowing the credit damage that could happen. Not to mention all the people that got caught up a year or two after Covid who needed a vehicle when dealerships were selling cars for around $20,000 over sticker price.
The message of the credit repair industry is “Stop buying everything! Come to us and let us get your number up first.” They’re basically telling you to put your life on pause for who knows how long. If you can do actually do this, then great. But if you’re in need of a vehicle, that probably puts you in a bind.
Life doesn’t wait for your credit score to improve
People with credit problems still have to get to work, take the kids to school and get to the store to fill the fridge. And what happens if you go to a dealership and get denied a loan? Do you blow whatever cash you have on a Facebook marketplace beater without a warranty? That might leave you worse off than you were to begin with.
Come as you are
While other dealerships might’ve told you “no” in the past, we’re in the business of giving you options. If you find yourself struggling on the uphill climb toward a higher credit score, you don’t have to do it while taking the bus or dealing with an unreliable car. Come in, talk to us and get yourself a vehicle to make your life easier while you put things back together.
As always, we invite you to give us a call or stop by one of our lots, and give us a chance to give you a chance!
